Support for female students in Afghanistan
Université Paris-Saclay joins France Universités in condemning the decision to ban women and girls from attending university in Afghanistan.
“After secondary education, it is now higher education that is no longer allowed for girls and women. This situation is intolerable and flouts international conventions and commitments.” (Extract from the press release released by France Universités).
Gender equality and access to higher education for all are among the University’s core values. Université Paris-Saclay expresses its solidarity for Afghan women and girls who are currently being denied access to higher education.
